about

Originally released in 1994 and long out-of-print.

"...Sharp's hardest rocking band, Carbon, continued to evolve from the unholy re-combination of proto-math-rock and abstract symphonics of the 80's to a postpunk metal grindcore experimental space-funk band in the 90's. Truthtable represents Carbon's "Brutalist" period at its most intense. E#'s extreme guitaristics were balanced and supported by Zeena Parkins' electric harp and Weinstein's electronic textures, all in the service of song structures anchored by the massively grooving rhythm section of Trump (no relation!) and Sloan. Guest vocalist KJ Grant (Cop Shoot Cop, Missing Foundation) is featured on two songs.

Keywords: cyberpunk, industrial, noise, improvised, nu-metal, space funk, grind core, free-jazz, electro-acoustic, prepared guitar
